I finally won at an rts game

i dont really like rts games, but ive been really into rise of nations lately. i took it online and im discovering im actually pretty good at it. it hasent been that way with aok, aoe, c&c etc. ze question is, what rts games do you like?

I've just found age of mythology in my brother's room and it is really really fun! At the moment i am controlling a load of pigs and 2 boars because some mythical creature turned us all into them :/

It's really good, lots of scenarios (i've gone from getting back a trident from a band of pirates to bringing 3 pieces of Osiris' body together to raise him from the dead and prevent a cyclops opening a door to Hades) and it's well thought out. It looks good too (well not tip-top graphics but i love the style of it)

My brother was harking on about RoN, but i've not looked into it much.

i actually have AoM but like i said, its hard for rts games to grow on me.

Ground Control, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne and Age of Empires 1 and 2 and Red Alert 2. Rise of Nations is good fun too, was addicted to the demo for several weeks - but never bought it :/.

Red Alert is awesome, I could still play it all day. I also like those with massive battles, like Shogun: Total War or Praetorians, although I have only tried the demo versions. I'm anticipating Rome: Total War and Battle for Middle Earth.

oh no i forgot medieval total war. yes i liked that, but its a bit boring. i expect good things of R:TW though.

Try Total Annihilation. The battles are massive. I mean.. I had one game where almost 400 enemy mechs, tanks and aircraft were trying to penetrate my defensive artillery. It is such an awesome game.

I really enjoyed RoN, it was very entertaining and I liked the border + attrition factors..

praetorians... what an awesome RTS, like R:TW probably, only it's actually out and has older graphics..

i played praetorians on gamespy for awhile. it got a little boring, not really any building/strategy.
