Yeah it is fake. The guy that did it is from the Futuremark forums. He also did the Doom 3 picture as well I believe. Look at the HL2 CDs picture then the Doom 3 CDs picture.

So what if it actually has the same cover art? Many gaming websites have the game's box cover picture.

Notice the light glare on the bottom right corner of the hl2 one and there isnt a glare on the doom3 one.Making the glare w/ photoshop...i dont see how thats possible. For now im going to believe the hl2 one could be real. The doom3 could have been made FROM the hl2 one. Yes, thats a lot of "coulds", but I'm just saying...

The people at PlanetDoom even admitted it was FAKE. The HL2 one is simply a photoshop of the Doom 3 one, which is, well, a photoshop.

Trust me guys, we would know for sure if the game was at that stage where you could see a boxed copy and 6 CDs.

Also I'd like to bring to your attention that it is indeed impossible to fit 6 CDs into one DVD case.

The artwork used to fake those pictures is indeed real, but it is by no means an official product.

Use a paintbrush with white color? Come one it even has brightness filters to do that for you.

You can even make a positioned light with the damn thing.

I did a super-quick superimpose. You can see the keyboard, box, and cd's are in exactly the same spot. It's a FAKE. PHOTOSHOP. The other 3 are other examples of fakes. (Ridiculous ones at that.)

There isn't a signup for Longhorn beta.

And all public tests are usually accompanied with a NDA saying you cannot disclose any information not known by the general public.

However internally it's a whole different story. And that's like it everywhere. Take your eyes of the prize, and you loose it.

That's why everyone from testers to workers get harsh NDA's. Although it seems very unlikely it can indeed be a matter of millions if information is not secured.

And with the new terror/hacker laws in the us it shouldn't be doubtful you can actually go to jail for it. It is afterall the economy you're ruining.

And that is a sweetspot in the usa.

If someone else has posted this in the last page, then I'm sorry, but I just saw this post, and wanted to comment on it.

This "CD" is a CD of the HL2 movies that can be found anywhere else.

This "CD" was also packaged with CS:CZ. I have the exact same CD.
