What are some good ones besides Syberia, Grim Fandango, the Mysts, and The Longest Journey?

I really like adventure games, so what are some others? (I've played all of the above)

I just started playing Zork: Grand Inquisitor yesterday. Its old but still pretty fun. It would be hard to find a copy but if you can it's worth it.

Have you tried Lucasart's Monkey Island series? They are a classic adventure series. They have good humor and writing, but they are hard to find in stores these days as the last one was released a couple of years ago.

try syberia II
myst IV is coming soon, but its gonig to be non 3d again, a not so gr8 step imo.
also try aura:fate of the ages, just came out. looks good
wait for the longest jouurney dreamfall. shud own any other such game. i think its time for adventure games to go 3d for good.

Have kids then, that should keep you busy for the next 18 years, or 24 if your unlucky :)

Definately get hold of Loom, the CD version is apparantly next to impossible to find now because the company that had the rights for it went under so its impossible to ever buy it again. BUT, you can buy the floppy version elsewhere, and Lucasarts pretty much turned a blind eye at home of the underdogs making a CD and voice patch available for the floppy version to turn it into the CD one. Worth getting hold of, one of the best there ever was.

maybe this is the right place to opst this, i am looking for a very old text based adventure game, hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. the version online is java and doesnt let u save games. any place to get it?

Yeah I listed the RPG's on purpose, their the older kind but were huge amounts of fun, and apart from morrowind they aren't stressful to run.

If its very old. Try the emulator sites, if its spectrum or C64 it should be easy to find (it sounds familiar) and the emulators are ten a penny these days. If its from the Amiga it might be harder to get hold of. If its PC then its possible it can still be found, maybe try home of the underdogs. But the problem with older PC games is very few even run anymore. So you might need to grab a DOS emulator, which a fast machine these days should be fine running. Many have to do that with Daggerfall nowadays. You could also try the text adventure sites and forums. Something like Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy should be pretty popular among them so I'm sure a few will have it in their collections and be able to help out.
