So I don't know if this has been asked.. I've searched the forums and couldn't find anything.

I don't quite understand how Steam is going to deliver these cool HL2 videos to me..

First off, I don't currently have any Valve games installed. I hope that's not a requirement.

I also don't really see any options anywhere in Steam where I can tell it where to save downloaded files, whether or not I want it to auto-download new "outside" content (like these movies) etc.. I don't even see an "About" page where I can find out what version I'm running..

Am I missing something here?

Steam will update.

In the games menu there will be additional icons under a new section "media"

Here is where you click to get the media.

This will download a Bink exe to a folder similar to:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamCache\login@here.com\Media

It should be along those lines. Wont know exactly till it happens :)

Your version should just be the latest one available.

Yes, thank you very much for the explanation 82ross. It's appreciated..

Steam seems like a good idea, but so far I have to say it's not the most intuitive thing on the planet..

But I guess that's what beta software is for. =)
