Is it possible to disable steam?

While im at home over the summer i have to use my family PC to get on the net an they always moan if i install something that popps up on start up. I was just wondering if it is possible to make it so steam doesn't boot up when you turn your PC on?

right click the tray icon, click on settings, goto interface tab, uncheck "run steam when windows starts"

Sure, check the settings window and then "interface".

Uncheck "Run Steam when Windows starts" :)
