Hello, art forum!
It's been a while since I was last here, so I drew a shock trooper.

how did u draw that? coz it looks ****ing amazing. if that was drawn with a wacom, im so badly gonna go out and buy one... if its drawn with anything else, im gonna kill myself lol.

I did use a mouse. I'm sadly in the same no-wacom boat.

Still, don't call Kevorkian. This thing took me at least 90 minutes to do. :x

Gimp. It's a limited freeware photoshop.
You can download it at http://www.gimp.org, if you want.

Dang, my internet cut out before I could write the rest.

Anyways, I recommend practice to everyone, even if that's a cliche.
The shine effects were mostly guesstimates of where the light would reflect from.

I think I'll draw another, but I can't decide which species to do.
Any suggestions?

try doing alien, from the alien films. that creature is ****ing class. my mate could draw them to every detail in about 3 minutes, he practiced drawing them all day! i have a few comics, if ur interested in drawing them i could scan in a picture or two if u wanted some inspiration.

I love the organic, soft feel of the entire image.

Whoa, I love the Aliens too aswell, used to draw those alot.. Scan the pictures!
