umm anybody think this was funny?

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/05/10/news_6096683.html

Nvidia and Epic Games have today announced that the first public showing of the Unreal Engine 3 will take place at this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.

i think we all saw the public showing of the new engine at the debut show of the nv40 (6800). why does gamespot say its the first?

maybe they will have a new presentation. we all know hl2 stole the show at the last e3. what new thing do you think will leave everybody speechless this year?

well... the other show wasn't public. It was organised and people had to have a special invertation (I think) also, if unreal 3 shows something new. Half-life 2 can go out of the window in my opinion.

nah the other one was public, watch the vid again and youll see Todd (i think) say that this was the first public showing of the engine due to the fact no other video card could show it in decent framerates.

and you didnt need a special invite to go.

ow sorry, i thought u did. Norally I would think they would do that. I mean think how many people would go if it was public?

I still dought he actually ment truly public. That would mean tickets go on sale and the first to buy get them, no one is excluded because of there stature or anything. Its basiclly public :P

ON the other hand if the sent tickets out to companies and media companies (hense all the cameras) then that wouldn't be public.

It depends how u define things. I could be wrong. But who cares I can't wait for e3 :D

Its a pitty I am working when all the news hits the shell :(
