Two old desktops I did a while back. I really like how the first one came out. The second one was okay, but could have been better. I wasn't as good back then as I am now with photoshop, but oh well.

The leaves one.

Well what it's 'supposed' to be is wood/crap that is on fire on the ground(concrete) that is burning up one of the leaves. The portrait of gordon and alyx is supposed to be a subtle white etching in the concrete with the logo missing from the etching. The white lines on top are just supposed to be some random lines on a street, with the text etched out of that. Then there are some random blood splatters. That's what I was kind of going for, but I don't think that's how many people took it :p. Well, so that's why the logo/text is not all smooth or whatever, it's supposed to be kind of spraypainted on the ground.

Ah, yeah now that I look at it, it could use some AA. I kind of just slapped that text on there because I spent so much time trying to find the font that I was running out of time to post it as I was on my way out the door. I'll post the updated one a little later. Thanks for the tip.

I like the first one of course, remember it from the art contest. But there's a jaggy white line next to the combine's arm near/slightly below the red band. If I set it as background, I'm certain that line will keep taunting me with its presence until the end of time.. aaaaaargh

What I have for my BG right now is really cool................... but I cant post it here ;( .....

It isn't a picture of the actual game play.....its just a picture of the Steam start up screen. I'm not sure if its real though... I got it off some site with beta pictures.

It looks really good though. I took off the New Game, Load game, Find server stuff.

so it just says "Half-Life 2" near the bottom left. And has a picture on the right...

I wont explain more, for fear of Beta-Bannin'......

better yet, how would I get the lambda symbol to show?
