Ghost Town (WIP) (http://www.deviantart.com/view/6663460/)

A work-in-progress Photoshop-sketch of a kind of futuristic ghost town, I was heavily inspired by the Combine Tower! :)

I'd like to hear your opinions and suggestions on what I should add, I'm thinking like detailing it more and adding another color.

i think you've got a good start, good atmosphere, but your space is very flat. your gestural style is really nice and free, but you need to refine it in some parts to show us detail and depth... i really like thos two little red warning lights, but that big cross glare feels like something that should be added at the end of a piece rather than the beginning.

you should watch the tutorial videos that anry has made at http://www.anry.ru/

nice work.

I'm still a big newbie when it comes to painting, but I really want to learn it and paint in the styles of http://ukitakumuki.deviantart.com/ and Anry.

I know there is a story online about the ghost town in Stalker, and the town in real life is relly a Ghost town.

Yes, but this thing has nothing to do with that town. :)

Gj with the ghost town reminds me of Planescape... want to see more of that ghost, do you intend to post more concepts of it?

Hardly surprising really, not many people would want to live in a radioactive disaster zone

Anyhoo, from the picture i can sort of see where it's going, and if it goes down the path i am thinking of it should be good :D

Thanks for the links, they're really great!

I've picked up a few coloring and lightning tricks now after a little practise, I want to practise some more before I finish the Ghost Town..
