Do not forget about this game. It has had a bumpby and cursed ride so far, delay after delay, no official word or media for years...But please...Never forget this game. I WILL come out, Just let Valve get HL2 off the board first. ;)

I think the only reason it's taken this long is because the things that Valve wanted to do with this game have only just become possible on current tech.

Gabe said last year that TF2 was still a real game and that we would get to see more of it after HL2 was released.

I think that TF2 was delayed so often because of Counter Strike and Day of Defeat. Those two mods were brillant and if Valve came out with some slapped together POS TF2 then we would have all lost hope in a HL2. Besides, origionally the mod was meant to be free. So they have all the time in the world to get it right.

I think the title of this thread is a little tasteless. "Never Forget?" C'mon, TF2 not coming out isn't quite as tragic as the holocaust in my opinion.

Trolling? I'm just trying to keep the forum sane. My Grandfather liberated some of the camps in Germany back in the forties. He's told me stories of the things he saw. Deliberate or not, the title of this thread compares a videogame to the worst crime ever perpatrated on the human race. I'm the furthest thing from a troll you're likely see.

Actually it seems pretty obvious, to me at least, that TF2 was delayed so they could make it on the source engine. It makes sense doesn't it. That's why we were never told much about why it wasn't released, as they were keeping the Source engine and HL2 a secret still at that point.

Bova, you're right. This was even confirmed by Valve staff at some point. Check the Valve info thread. There may be something in there.

I have been saying for quite a while that I can't god damn wait for this game.

And I havnt managed to get an offical reply to my emails about it yet. And I have given up on that front.

Its bk to just plain old waiting in despirate hope that its gona be anounched soonish!
