I'm not sure if I understand you completely. You start with a primitive and make it into what you want.

i think he means perpoly modeling. dont know how to do that in wings 3d. never used the program

Well, in MS3D u can make vertexes and then drag faces between the verts, I dunno if its possible in any other 3d apps, but it probably is.

NOTE: this is a pretty slow method
