I am so BORED! I don't know what to do anymore. I want a new, preferably free, RPG to play. I've palyed all the new FPS games and all the new strategy games and I'm bored with them all. I just want a good RPG that will last me atleast a month. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you played Dungeon Siege? It has a pretty involving single player campaign.. took me about 50 hours to beat it

Baldur's Gate II is prolly pretty cheap... it's not new, though... but that doesn't matter. It's still good.

I meant Shadows of Amn... never played the expansion.

And YES, Neverwinter Nights is good... once again, haven't played either of the expansions (I hear they improved their official campaigns in the expansions over the original, however), but the fan-created content made it WELL worth it. I spent a long while creating a mod/adventure for this game... it was really fun!

I'm downloading the Neverwinter Nights Demo right now. Its 389 mb but I'm downloading at 300 kb/s :). Judging on the size of it I think I'll get a good idea of what the games really like.

i know what u mean more than u know. im a true gamer, as im sure much of u are. what iv done wiht the lack of new games(or iv beaten them all and they have horrible multiplayer or none to speak of) is master one game. in my case iv takin a new liking to CS(i know but....it is really fun without hackers[im in a clan and i have admin [[im very experienced in hacker detection =D]] ] ) so i play all the time and im proud to say im 10x as good as i was 2 months ago. im still amateur i know but im getting better by leaps and bounds =P.

AGGREE WITH SUBKARMAN..... morriwind rocks. here in the good ol' U.K. u can get it for £20 with the expansion. the game has so many deongeons... basicly there is a really lame story that u CAN follow, but in each town/ city there are loads of guys that give u missions..... and its like GTA in the way that its just one big island with hundreds of optional deongeons that can be accessed whenever.
i actually =have only spent about 10 hours on the game and i have done only a couple of the missions, coz ive gona around training up. sounds strange but when i am bored morrowind is such a good game to play... but i forget i have it and play an online game instead....

if your into RPGS (or dungeon crawlers rather) you need to get Neverwinter nights, its a fantastic game.
however the Single player part of it (for the most part), was utterly boring.

Neverwinter Nights strength is its Multiplayer, its a small scale MMORPG with persistent worlds (that are player run and made) but you dont have to pay the monthly fee of MMorpgs.
I would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone who liked the Diablo series, Darkstone, Dungeon Siege (and its an absolute must if you liked KOTOR) etc. Its got quite a bit of depth to it (being its based on DnD ruleset) The Role PLay is as good as you make it.

and dont forget the level editor for neverwinter knights. i did foir morrowind. They both have an amazing level editor which is fun fun fun....
i use the warcraft III one LOADS... at the mo im making a 3rd person acrtion game for it. yes, it is an rts. yes, u heard me right. it has gr8 cutscenes....
