I'm against the closing of Gitmo, but I'm also against the cancelling of Glasgow's Rendition game, where Middle Eastern inmates shoot their way out of the facility. Like any other game, gp-ers/the market should decide whether it succeeds or flops. The graphics looked uninspiring. The 'enemy' wasn't specifically designated as American-military. Political-correctness has no place in creative game-design, no matter which political viewpoint is deemed 'correct'.

I think this one was pretty lucid, but I didn't really understand why it was in Politics, so I've moved it to General Gaming.

Saw this on the FOX New channel, they were making a huge deal out of it.
Yet, I've never even heard of it.

you're against closing gitmo? why? please explain?
and this inst about political correctness ..not how you think it is.
"T-Enterprise claims it has been forced to cancel a game based on Guantanamo because of extreme public reaction"
the public buys their games, pissing off the piublic means no one buys their game therefore it's a stupid business decision to go ahead and invest millions of dollars on a game that wont sell
personally I'd probably play it except I was a little put off by this:
"In the game, players control a detainee at the camp, which has been sold by the US Government to a shadowy agency called Freedom Corp. "
where's the fun in that? I want to shoot american government personel not some made up stupid organization, that completely undermines setting it in Gitmo in the first place? why go half assed?
anyways blame americans
""We have had a lot of hate mail about this, mainly from America, saying things like 'don't dare put out a game that shows them killing our soldiers'. "

No surprises here. Police officers are one thing...America's beloved army is quite another. Just another American conundrum...like nipples.

I heard Bill Clinton was a member of the Illuminati.
Maybe that explains the politics he was talking about!
