Looks nice, but not really renewing. Actually, the trailer looked less attractive to me than vids from the original. Some graphics(I mean art, not technically) look horrible, for example the flowers.

SMG1 already pushed creativity to the max, and I wonder if Nintendo will be able to come up with something new, with the same quality.
I've sold my Wii because the lack of good games, but probably I can borrow one.

Both Mario titles put the Wii on my wanted list, but the lack of a price cut means It'll be some time before I seriously consider getting the console.

The thing is, Galaxy brought so many great ideas to the table, and then so many of them were never taken advantage of or really pushed to the limit. There's $50 of game just from the levels I thought up by looking at levels Galaxy 1 already had and saying, "Okay, that's pretty ****ing awesome, but couldn't you also go on to do this?" If they really work at this, it's gonna be a goddam masterpiece.

From what I hear, Nintendo didn't put too many of their ideas into the first one and are now putting them into this. They said there would be 90-95% new stuff in the game.

Don't make promises you can't keep. They may look innocent, but Nintendo will have your shins broken. Because those little fellows don't punch much higher.

I picked up Super Mario Galaxy recently, thought I better check out what all the hype was about. I've only just got onto the second observatory thing. It's pretty good, but the "cute" factor is cranked way too high like I thought it would be, and get's really annoying after a while. All those cute little high-pitched voices and cute little characters make me wince and grit my teeth, even the enemies are cute. Not my favourite art-style to put it bluntly. Also some of the stages that are particularly intensive of jump puzzles frustrate the hell outta me, mostly because I'm rubbish at them.

I'm undecided at this point whether I'd pickup a sequal, I'll have to play the original some more to take up my mind. It's possible I might start enjoying it more as I get into it.
