So, has anybody beside me seen it? This year the songs were ****tillion times better and the show was great. Also finally the victory has landed in Western Europe.
Europeans, join to discuss!?

Easily one of the worst. The song that won was shit too. Full of broken English.

I watched some of the qualifier round things but overall nope, didn't watch it.
From what I saw though it was still better then previous Eurovision contests.

Yes, I don't take it seriously too, but still, it's fun to watch Balkan countries singing songs from early 80s. Also Estonia got 6 place. The only time we have been elected into the final since 2001

How was the voting this year? Was it still all bloc nonsense or did the increased weight of the jury vote have any affect? I'm guessing Ireland gave maximum points to some eastern country due to our large immigrant base here.

Well, it gave Estonia and Latvia a quite of points. And I am guessing diaspora is the reason. But it was better this year, only one balkan country, Turkey, got to the top 5. Mostly the triumph of Northern Europe.

It was definitely better this year, in terms of bloc voting that is.
I watched it with a few mates and a few drinks, was a bit of a laugh really. You never expect high quality music, but jesus, it was all so bad. Lyrics of the winning song could have been written by a six year old.
I thought the singer from Estonia was rather pretty though
