No money, and the guy recording us was working out of his bedroom. But I still prefer this kind of production to whatever makes pop albums and shit sound so artificial.

I have lots of other thoughts about the way we recorded this, not many of them good.. but this is a step in the right direction in my opinion. When you say it sounded awful, do you mean the quality or the music itself?

Thank you, first. And no we haven't contacted anybody. We plan on staying indie or DIY or whatever you call it as long as possible.

oh, forgot to mention, personally I think this is going to be a bit of a throwaway album, and we'll probably re-record some of the songs and put then on later releases. Basically it's a glorified demo that we plan on sellling, because we've got cases and inserts and things like that for it.

There is no ''time'' that is best to do a debut album or not. It's just music on a CD, be it called an album, an EP or a demo. Having a label or ''proper'' tools means nothing. You've also no place to say what they should and should not be doing as a band.

I liked what I heard! First track reminded me of Send More Paramedics but after that I realised it wasn't going to be thrash crossover, but it was still good! I agree wholeheartidly about the production, the more raw and energetic sound is what really gives bands like this a real good kick that beats the shit out of any other polished rock record. I guess you've got to pretty into your punk to really dig that kind of stuff though which is a shame, but still.

Pretty varied listening from what I gather, too. Very electic. Nice work.

The songs on there were written over a period of a few years. The first was one of the first written completely and has no lyrics, it's just a spanish-sounding hardcore riff. Then for a while we went through a phase where we wanted to be a gypsy punk band like gogol bordello or something, and one of the songs reflects that. Since then we've decided to stick to a heavier punk/alternative/90's sound, which I can't think of any songs here that really reflect that well. We're pretty heavily influenced by the pixies, which you can probably really hear in the song Deal which we realized after we wrote it sounds basically like a pixies rip-off. It's named after Kim Deal, as well.

The only difference between the three are the names. From my experience with all three, I've heard a whole host of different lengths, qualities, standards, organisations and productions across all names of the releases, both from listening, recording myself or playing a part in. Irregardless, it shouldn't matter what a band calls it. It's music. You don't like it - which is fine - but it really ****ing grates on my nerves when people say you need a label or ''proper'' tools to record a ''debut'' or ''album''

Well as I said, im only giving an opinion on what they should do, because a debut album for a band is a big step, I mean I have seen bands in the past and present who will do a self-released album because they have so many songs, and the quality isn't great, and people don't take them seriously. I mean record by all means, but there is such a difference between the label 'album' and 'demo' in my opinion.

Oh is it? Ha thanks... as for schizophrenic, it was our plan to have all of our bases covered, for whichever direction we decided to take the music in.
