This ever happen to anyone here? Man, what a pain in the a$$. Kept pressing eject and the grinding would start then stop. I could play the game fine but it just didn't want to come out of the machine. Apparently it says in the manual that you are supposed to eject the disc every time you turn off the Wii. Who knew??

I did get it out finally by forcing another disc almost all the way in there and it actually ejected them both. Of course, my Tales of Symphonia gamecube disc 1 is now all sticky and worn around the spindle hole. Very strange. WTF is my Wii doing to my discs when I am not looking??? I used to be a fan of Nintendo's hardware but that is F_cked Up.

Smash the Wii with your face, then put it on youtube for us to see.

Don't know what to do about your disc problem though.

Everyone, because that's what every console manual has said since the history of time.

I've never had a problem with Nintendo hardware, but this is pretty suspicious. Possibly a bit dusty inside? Just blow into the gap?

What?
LOL. Yeah, as I was writing that I actually started laughing thinking how bad it sounds, but it is also pretty accurate when it comes to what happned to the disc. Anyway, as I stated in the OP, I got it out, but man, what a strange thing for a console to do to a disc. I have had just about every console ever made (in the US) and never once have I ever had this or anything even close to this happen.

Well maybe the Wii isnt built to handle the amount of sex you have with it?

It is like the label on the Tales disc was just a sticker and the sticker was melted just around the hole. Must be something warm that grabs it once it is inserted.

Hahaha! Yeah, we fool around A LOT. I can understand it's desire to perform well, especially sitting next to the 360 and PS3, but this is a real setback for our relationship.

Um.. no one hates Gamecube. <3

I hate the Wii for making me all excited and giving the Gamecube to my sister and then making very few games I actually want to play.
