I'm not in. :(

The update is being pushed to everyone who was selected by/before Nov 1st.

For the rest of us normal folk, we get it on Nov 19.

What's this? Some kind of new community thing where you can see your friends? So a bit like Home on the PS3?

Yeah, it's just a dashboard revision with it's highlight of introducing avatars now and a party system outside of games.

I really don't think getting it early is a big deal. I'm fine with just getting it at said date.

I really like that they cleaned up the interface and are finally including an option to install portions of games to the HDD (something they claimed would be possible for the original Xbox). Apparently it makes the system not quite as ludicrously loud while playing games like Fable 2. I really couldn't stand the old "blade" based interface, it was obnoxiously bright and stupid/fat looking.
