Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

Anyone planning on getting this when it comes out this week? I'm a huge fan of the first one, and I really want this one to be good, but I haven't seen anything really compelling about it. It still might be worth it if they managed to make it a more polished experience overall.

Wow, no love for Viva Pinata, apparently. I got it, and turns out that it is a massively more polished experience overall. Think expansion pack + service pack. It fixes pretty much all of the problems I had with the first game - interface is streamlined and more stylish, pinatas obey your commands better, higher population cap in your garden, etc. - and adds tons of cool new stuff.

So it's pretty much the same game, but taken to the next level.

I never played the first and doubt I'll play the second. However, visually that game is amazing. I love the art direction and the colours. It's beautiful to look at, and I honestly wouldn't mind playing such a colourful, stylish game.

Always wanted to try the game but I don't have any consoles and I'm pretty sure that the PC version was probably garbage.

You'd be right unfortunately. I've seen it - it's just like the xbox version... JUST like the xbox version. Tons of bugs too.

Great, a game that looks like it was made for a PC and it gets a crappy port.

Heh, The first Viva Pinata came with my X360 Premium pack, along with some racing game, and I started it once just for shits and giggles. It seemed like a game for kids and I'm not really into them, so I never played it since.
