White-Wolf didnt just do VTM though. I got their starter rules/adventure on free rpg day. Seems fairly interesting.

Vampire The Masquerade is awesome though. I heard the newest edition got rid of the Gangrels though, wtf.

I downloaded the novel for Final Nights: time of Judgement (when basically White Wolf crashed the entirity of the old World of Darkness straight into the ground in a world-wide apocolypse for every game line), it was pretty cool. I liked hanging with Beckett again.

I always liked the Malkavians. Maybe I'll find a White-Wolf RP group in Uni or something.

Ahh, that makes more sense. Brujah were kinda dumb, since if you wanted to be a fighter, it always seemed to make more sense being a Gangrel anyways. I also heard they added another race or two.

Vampire the Requiem rebooted everything. So now there's five clans:

Ventrue (Lords of the Night, Dracula-type)
Daeva (Anne Rice)
Mekhet (Shadowy douches)
Gangrel (Animalistic)
Nosferatou (Bleeding sores! Slight oddness!)

And there's five factions now, instead of Camarilla + Anarchs vs. Sabbat - they all work somewhat in harmony, as harmonious as Vampires can get. Hmmm...

Circle of the Crone (Witchcraft and shit)
Ordo Dracul (Dracula was our one true ancestor!)
Carthians (ANARCHS WITH AN AGENDA)
Invictus (Camarilla-ish)
Lancea Sanctum (Vampiric Christians, believe in descent from Longinus)

And of course unaligned.

V:TR is kind of cool, but also kind of not cool. I'm waiting for Hunter.

What other RPGs do you play/have played?

I... obtained... the sourcebooks for all of the new World of Darkness, so I've played a trial run of each. Changling is my favourite so far, but Hunter looks funky. Of course it's going to be no fun without people to actually play with, so yeah.

Yeah it sucks when youre interested in something but nobody else is. I play Pendragon and D&D (reluctantly) with some friends, but I dont think theyre really interested in any White Wolf games at all. There is a Song of Ice and Fire RPG coming out in a few months, and it sounds like its pretty much going to be the best RPG ever. We'll be dropping pendragon, and hopefully D&D for it. You should check it out. I know a few people on hl2.net have read the books, but I cant remember if you were one of them.

I've never been a fantasy RPG type person but whatever maybe we should get some virtual dice rolling going when it comes out.

Im not much for fantasy myself, but the aSoIF series is very low fantasy. Its a made up world, but its very much a medieval world with knights and army battles and such, no high fantasy stuff like elves (theres only humans really) and very very little magic, and even then its not in the traditional sense.
