Valve is working on Left4dead now. Pleace tell me its not the same team who suposed to work on ep3 so we must wait even longer.

They're actually also working on TF3 and Portal 2 at the same time. They have the workstations for each game set up in a circle, and every hour they sound a horn and they all rush to a different game station and work on that game. If they work on the same game two times in a row, they're fired.

Valve is currently focusing on Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2. Episode 3 is a long way away and Portal 2 isnt close enough to worry about. Team Fortress 3 won't exist for many years, if at all.

A separate team has been working on Episode Three for some time now. As the installment develops and the release date grows closer, more manpower will probably be diverted to work on it.

Sounds good. Heard the team behind hl2 got seperated for ep1 and another for ep2. Not sure if the team behind ep1 got started with ep3 or joined the team behind ep2 after finishing ep1. If they all work together on ep3 now it should be :sniper: when finished.

Basically all the Ep3 development has been shifted over to Adam, whilst the rest of the team starts work on counterstrike 2 :p

Isn't Left 4 Dead being developped by Turtle Rock Studios? I read they are part of Valve Software now, but it's still different people than the HL/TF/CS/Portal teams.

Yes although they are mainly working on it, Valve have had a large input in making the game just right, and have dedicated resources to it. Episode 3 is being worked on, but not by the entire work force. Valve employees have always said, no one has a job title or a specific position, you work on whatever you are put on. Things changes often and randomly.

I expect because L4D is nearly done, the team isn't huge working on it currently. It's tweaking moreso at this stage. The other team working on Episode 3 still won't be far into development at all, so there is no point complaining about your wait, because we haven't even scratched the surface in waiting time yet. It's a long way off, but that must be the way of things to produce a product of sublime quality.

Its better to wait longer and have a better product than to wait less and have a less better game. Though there is a difference between waiting long because the quality is so damn high (all hl games) and waiting even longer because they are also working on more projects.
