ZP!S was the shit after the lag was fixed. Sadly, I rarely see good servers anymore. Just gunwhores who die first, and campers in the subway station.

Zombie Panic: Source can be really great. You just have to find a nice server. I haven't had any lag problems since I started playing (last version).

I know Team Fortress 2 killed Fortess Forever; not only that, but Fortress Forever was sort of pushed to release it sooner due to the release date.
It might work out similarly with Left 4 Dead and Zombie Panic.
