It's going to be an MMO. Whether it will use a new IP or not is unknown. High chance of it being either a WoW sequel or based in the SC universe.

This has been known for a while. Though I suppose they sort of re-confirmed it in that interview at the WWI. They've been hiring a staff to function independently and do work on a "next-gen mmo". At least that's what one could gather from the hiring page.

I'm starting to wonder if it'll be a free-to-play MMO, based on recent comments (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=159273) Rob Pardo made. Though I'd be wholly upset if a Starcraft MMO came out only to have giant billboards for Coke and Axe bodyspray everywhere. Doubt Blizzard would let that slide, though, come to think of it.

I predict Starcraft MMO. Yeah, a new IP would be great. But if I get to take the shoes of a ****ing Terran marine hosing down Zerglings, then Blizzard can keep coasting as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I'd prefer it.

Yeah, that would be stupid. Starcraft takes place over several planets, so it would be "Planetary System of Starcraft".
