For the first two, I'd say there're quite a few issues with perspective and symmetry, the third looks much better to me, despite appearing to be a straight-up copy of some official artwork I saw a while back.

yep, Pendragon's onto something there.. the third one's quality is inconsistant with the other two, where those have perspective/proportion issues the third seems better set out..

However..... Is that a later one done more recently and the first two early drawings? That I imagine would explain the difference in quality.

In the Solid Snake one his nose looks like the Wicked Witch of the West's from the Wizard of Oz. Everything else is pretty snazzy though.

Art is a form of expression, everyone has their own distinct seperations from others. Everyone judges by their own criteria which is based on their own forms of design or general rules of design.

I am not sure if Fan was trying to portray realism in his works, if so then yes the general rules of design concerning realism should be incorporated.

If not then what is art to some may be garbage to others but this seperation is what makes art so unique.

Well said, chu. I agree that differences in expression are what make art unique, and what keep us coming back to see more, I was merely offering up problems that showed up under the most common (and standard) lens that I know of.

I think the style on your faces is interesing--it has a neat effect on the way it flows. On your vehicles, it's less constant though, which tends to break up that flow. Just my thoughts, tho.
