It seems progress has slowed down to a halt as of late, which is a shame. So I propose we code the project in garrysmod using lua.

I know a lot of you would probably wretch at even thinking of doing this, but there are a few perks:

1. I'm alright at lua, and I could get started right away. There's also another person on these forums, mahalis, who's very good at lua (haven't talked to him about this yet because I thought of this just now).

2. Since garrysmod is based off of hl2dm, a lot of stuff we need is already there. And lua is pretty efficient in terms of how much you get done versus how much you type, so it would get done faster.

3. It's not a totally bum deal for the C++ coders here, as garrysmod allows for external DLLs, which can be used to cover for anything lua can't do.

4. Since garrysmod is popular, we'll have an instant player base.

5. The final build doesn't have to be coded in lua, at the very least we can use this as a proof of concept/testing ground for gameplay ideas.

So what do you guys think?

Im pretty sure everyones lost interest in this project by this point. Im still willing to put some work into it if im wrong, and there are people still interested in doing this.
