.. cut out a " scene " from a movie? I did a print screen and pasted in Photoshop.. When i saved it and opend it , it was just a black screen :S

Open media player, goto Tools -> Options, then click on the Performance thingy at the top. Do you see the Video acceleration slider? Drag that to "none".
try to take a printscreen now. Did it work?
You can export a image from quicktime with Files -> Export then Movie to BMP

i've got a plugin for Quicktime that allows me to take screenies with control and c, dunno what it is tho :S

As long as u don't resize the QT player, you can take the screenshot.
And you can do the lil more troublesome way that is to use Adobe Premiere and export the frame.

Quicktime blows. use K-Lite's Quicktime Alternative (http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm)
