Alot of people are saying GTA IV is broken and locking up so bad they need to unplug there console at the wall. Now I don't have it yet because Family Video doesn't have it yet. So what say you? Is it locking up? Or are these some troll's who have united against GTA IV.

Well, this is a case of internet exaggeration. Those who have lock up problems will be on forums posting their outrage and anger, while those who don't have any problems will just be playing their fingers off.

Official play count verging on 6 hours. No freezes. 360 version. Not even any slowdown or noticeable popping up either. :E

Had an unreadable disk error, which was kinda funny because it interrupted a phonecall, Roman was talking and after he was done with his sentence, neither said anything, just dead silence. So I hung up and shortly after that I got an error.

No freezes, but serious stuttering on the PS3 version. Pure BS.

I've got a problem with the sound cutting out in cutscenes, I missed the whole bit after "Uncle Vlad".
I've got to replay from the laundromat window mission just to see it again....not that I mind, I killed Ivan by accident when I meant to spare him.

I got one lockup tonight while playing multiplayer with Shamrock and Raziaar. Had to reboot my 360 and then decided it was probably time for bed anyway :p

Yeah my Xbox 360 locked up at the same time I think.
Then my Xbox live started being a dick as per the other thread.

When the game appears to be frozen, just wait an extra couple minutes. Sometimes it will load up.

Yeah, it got stuck on me twice loading a mission.
Looks like the patch is coming out soon.

does the autosave allow you to continue after shutting down the console or do you have to manually save by "sleeping"
