Woot. I finally have a 360 Elite just a few days before GTA4. If it wasn't for GTA4 I wouldn't of bought one.

So did anybody else decide to take the plunge and buy a console to play GTA4?

I wish I was able to purchase a brand new Elite 360. I've wanted one of those since their inception. However, since I have a Wal-Mart that still gives me free Arcade 360s, I don't care as of yet.

for the first time ever I'm tempted to get a console...but...I also know that once the initial wow factor have settled I'd probably regret the purchase and wonder why the **** I'd subject myself to the horrible controls on the console vs. PC(always liked the GTA games better on PC).... so I'm gonna stick it out and wait for the PC release I think...

Driving cars is better with a joypad than a keyboard tbh, thus joypad > keyboard for driving, but keyboard > joypad for aiming

I bought my 360 for GTA IV last year. As well as Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Rainbow Six Vegas and Forza 2.

Mostly GTA IV though but it didn't come out last year. ;(

Same, wasn't too hyped actually leaving work, usually I run home like a school girl when something is due but after RM screwing me over countless amount of times (e.g. taking it to a depot 50 miles away instead of leaving it at local Office if no one signs) I've sort of learnt not to go crazy until its in my hands - and works!
