Yeah it same a bit to obvious tbh.

The previews on the net so far for the game have been great, scans from mags are around the net too, alot of journos have completed the game and said its great.

That being said, someone please tell me they left out the god awful first aid system from MGS3. Also the unwieldly camouflage and constant menu hopping... not that I'll likely ever play it, but that would pretty much gurantee I never do.

I'm big over the MGS games just for the cutscenes. The art direction iis just beautiful. My first and only MGS game I have played and owned is the one for the PSP. I hate the gameplay but again the art is what makes MGS.

That's by far the worst game to start out with. Don't get my wrong, they're great games in their own special handheld kind of way, but they're still handheld games. If you really want to enjoy MGS, you need to start with the console versions. Preferably MGS1 so you have an idea of where the story begins but it's probably a little hard to get through since it's so dated. In any case, you need to play both MGS2 and MGS3.

Wait, let me rephrase it:

YOU. MUST. PLAY. IT.

As for the gameplay, that's entirely subjective but, there's no better stealth game out there. This is bar none the best the genre has to offer.

Erm, I think Splinter Cell beats MGS when it comes to being STEALTHY, I played through both MGS1, 2 and 3 being fairly rambo... Hard to do that in Splinter Cell 1.

Simply pre-order the game and you get a free DVD that has basically the enitre history of the Metal Gear series in a wonderfully packaged and nicely produced nutshell. Great way to try once again to wrap your brain around the insanity that is the Metal Gear storyline.

As far as I know portable ops was like snake eater, snake eater is really different then the previous mgs games. Personally I hated it and I also went trough a good part of it shooting.
In any case if you haven't played the first two mgs games then I suggest you download mgs 1, it's only 800mb and it has plenty of seeds so it should be quick. I can't guarantee you will like it, seeing as a lot of people that liked mgs 1 also liked snake eater, but it's a small download so no big deal to try it.

Also I recommend you play the psx version via an emulator, because it will work 100% if you have a good pc and it's a bit better.

Also don't lie to me your french.
