Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but I'll give it a shot.

I've been dabbling with Half-Life DJ a bit lately. Not any obnoxious griefing or mic spam. Just funny soundbytes and quips. Properly processing sound files to sound right is a bitch though. I've only ever gotten one sound file to work in TF2. The rest are garbled or slowed down; even after following the HL DJ tutorial precisely.

My question isn't about HL DJ though. I've heard people mention an analog to HL DJ called "HL SS". My Google kung-fu must be weak, because I can't seem to find anymore info on it. It would help if I knew what the "SS" stood for. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm hoping in vain that whatever it is, it's a bit more user friendly than HL DJ.

It's not particularly hard. Google HLSS. It comes up

And it stands for Half-Life Sound Selector.

It's also rather annoying because it also stands for Half-Life: Short Stories, but that's something entirely different :p
