Well, opened up blender again and decided to try my hand at animation.
This is a .gif of a 1 second animation I made of a model of my head. It took 2 hours to render.

I'd like to explore your uncanny valley.
Not bad, though.

Looks like your SSS is way too high. The model looks good; fairly clean. What direction do you want to go with 3D? (games, production, characters, advertising, rendering, movies, etc?)
P.S. Here's my first 3d animation attempt, lol . . . many, many years ago!

Just a hobby really. I think I'm going to attempt something a little more complex...if I can stand waiting for all this time to render it.

2 hours for 24 frames? Thats taking waaaay too long. How many lights are you using? Are you doing any raytracing?
Also, what kind of computer are you on?

I actually rendered 100 frames by accident. There are only four lights. I also had to restart it at around frame 15 because of a computer crash.

hahah. Yeah, thats why it took so long. The standard is you render either 24, or 30 frames for each second.
