Oh woe is me, I have just noticed, ever since the ending of Half Life 2, we have never seen G-man carrying his briefcase. Not in Ep1's beginning, or even in the long talk during Ep2. Nope, it's gone.
G-MAN HAS GROWN BEYOND THE BRIEFCASE.

It's those damn Vorts. They stole it.

I'm starting to believe that the Vorts were the ones who gave G-man that insecurity and attention need, bullying him when he was a kid... and even now, stealing his security briefcase.

That or Debbie asked them to keep him away from her. Yeah, that's it.

He has the briefcase in the sightings in Episode 2. Not so much during the visions.

Oh, I get it!
He doesn't need it to feel safe when talking to Gordon in an incorporeal way because he's actually holding it wherever he really is a that moment, but in the sightings he's out in the open, he NEEDS his briefcase.

My apologies to the Vorts and Debbie.

Does he have it in the HL2 opening sequence?

The briefcase is always within reach. It silently speaks to him, guiding his hand.

The briefcase is the G-man's employer.

The briefcase is the G-man's employer.

If by "employer" you mean "security blanket for when Gordon ditches him to go hang out with the Vorts and Debbie snubs him once again for the second time this week, sixth time this month," then yes!

He obviously ditched it because Debbie said she doesn't like guys with briefcases.

Didn't Vincent and Jules give the briefcase back to Marsellus Wallace? (Sorry, I couldn't resist the 'Pulp Fiction' reference....)

Yup, it's a good one, and since the thoery is abouta BRIEFCASE and not about The guy-who-pups-up-in-different-places-that-can-stop-time-and-who-put-me-in-a-stasis-for-god-knows-how-long-9-or-20-years-and-only-god-knows-what-he-did-to-me I guess we shouldn't worry about a bunch of Shock Troopers and Pit Drones roaming this thread, right?

Whow, what happened to this thread.

It contains a gun, calculator and a few notes written on a hard back clipboard.

Thats what happens when you sh*t on the job...

I like how this has become a Pulp Fiction thread.

Not precisely, it's just people beating all the fiction in this thread into a pulp out of frustration for not having achievements for PC versions of HL2 and HL2: E1

Well done destroying the thread... it's become nothing but crap now thus closed.
