*notices the body getting wider and wider from the bottom*

You drew this from a pretty low angle didn't you...

The chest is pretty plain too, but good luck with your helmet :)

That would be a high angle, if you're talking about foreshortening.

I was talking about where he was sat in relation to the paper, and that the feet were closer to his eyes so he drew them small and the body getting bigger

It would look fine from where he was sat, but not when you look at it face on (ie, scanned on a monitor)

Before you start a drawing define the top and bottom and sides of your figure on the paper, don't ever start from a foot, then draw a leg etc, etc, because lack of an overall means you will invariably end up out of proportion. Detail should be the last thing you put into a drawing not the first.

Use a light pencil to sketch out the extends, then gradually carve into it to build up the pose and form of the body, then work into it more and more, until your happy with the form overall. Try and ensure that you evenly distribute your attention across the piece as you work. A good drawing should always be legible, whether you've spend 5 minutes or 5 days on it. Also never be afraid to use a rubber/eraser, it is part and parcel of drawing that your initial line work isn't going to be correct (that is why you work lightly). also, draw with your arm and hand, and not so much with your fingers.

i didnt start from the foot. first, I lightly drew the basic skeleton (so to speak) of the body. (note, i drew the skeleton sort of running but then decided to have him standing when i couldn't quite get the running pictue that i wanted) I began with the detail of his arms then the gun, torso, belt, legs, feat. Also, I meant for the torso to be rather beefy, so that was definately on purpose. lol I dont suck so much as to make that much of an inpraportionate torso.

It doesnt work that way though. It looks like a light breeze would tip him over because hes so top heavy. Honestly, dont go stylized until you can draw correct proportions.

Im not upset at all, just want to make sure you start off on the right foot. You need to have a solid foundation before going elsewhere with your art. Hoping to see you post something soon!
