A lil Question about Garry's Mod

Hi All, i just bought and Installed Half-life 2 and i was wondering,

how can i install Garry's mod 9 into it(first i wanna try it then i'll consider about buying 10)

i installed gmod_9_0_4.exe and i just extraced some files somewhere and i don't know wat to do,

can some1 help me please

Do you have Counter Strike Source, that's also required for Gmod 9

or can Garry's mod be like a dedicated Physics game.

You need Source game(s) for the content, yes.

Garry's Mod 10 needs one or more (more gives you more content to play with) of these games to work (http://storefront.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=search&category=16&cc=AU).

If you don't have any of those you can buy Garry's Mod with either CSS or TF2 (http://steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=game&AppId=4000&cc=AU).

hmm well at the games section on stream, it said validating Garry' mod, it completed and then started to download, but it took like 15mins just to reach 1% of the download complete(at 26KB/S), how big is the file?

192 MBs for me, and I have all GMOD-compatible games, meaning my download started at 92%. :p
