But... Burnout Paradise hasn't even been released yet? They got their hands on a final release copy or are they just hyping the game to boost sales?

They only review the final release, so I guess an early copy.

Honest? :O
Ah well, I know one character and one map isn't much to go by, but I never got sucked in.

It's on the Wii and from Grasshopper (Killer 7) and looks like a very weird and trippy 3rd person action game. You play this dude called Travis who comes across an energy sword and kills an assassin to impress some chick. Throughout the game you'll get to fight another 11 assassins and ride about a small hub town on your bike, doing odd jobs. I suspect, like with Killer 7, much of the appeal will be in how wonderfully ****ed up the bad guys are, how weird everything looks and sounds, but with combat that has some decent depth to it.
Honest? :O

It's probably one for the obsessives amoungst us. I first just ran about killing everything. Then spent a few attempts learning where the signs were. Then went through only killing people with headshots with the machine gun, getting all the sings and not breaking the combo. Then did that for every other gun (tiny pistol was the most fun). Probably spent 4 hours just on that one level.

Are you always this confused when you see a review for an unreleased game? It's pretty common. :P The media often get advanced copies of the game so they have time to play through it and write a review.
I'm glad they scored Legends so low. We can't stand for that sort of garbage.

Also Burnout Paradise. I'm a bit surprised they didn't score Dark Sector, considering it came out Tuesday/comes out next Tuesday.

I know that. But I'm a bit skeptical about them releasing a review when the game is still a week or so away from release. Particularly because I haven't seen any other review sites with a review yet. So I was just curious if it was more of a preview score than a review. Most game sites release their scores on the day of or after the release dates.

There's been a few reviews for it out for a little while now already - http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/935291.asp
