actually, yes, when the enemy loses its head, some tentacle forms grow out of it, thats pretty cool that it came out of your mind, without a games influence.

Ah, yes, many people think I do lots of drugs because of the things that come from my mind and out of my mouth :P

However I don't, I am just naturally weird and creepy.

It's funny cause I used to give bodies to the pictures of heads in my religion book.

From here on out let the history books be rewritten:

Shakespeare was a tentacle beast. This makes him, and everything he has ever written, infinitely cooler.

Krynn72

Im impressed with his tentacle writing abilities more than anything. When I tried writing with a tentacle for a hand, it turned out disastrous.

Oh man, how strange and unexpected. Makes me want to post more :P

In 8th grade I created this character named Jebedia. He was this horribly deformed and mutated imbred. I then drew his entire family, and even created senerios for each family member.

One was just a giant tumor with eyes and a mouth.
My favorite was the grandfather, the family left him in the basement, once a week they would leave a tray of food down next to him. They were unnaware that he has actually been dead for years.

Jebedia's wife of course, was actually his sister. She had no hands because she chewed them off. Kids and teachers would ask for copies of these drawings. I'd be surprised if I could find any of them.

They even let me put a small sketch of Jebedia in our 8th grade year book :)

lol, thanks, I only mock people when they are asking for it.

I used to draw a lot of these weird tumor alien things when I was bored in class. Later I even made an oil painting of a large mother one and a baby one with a heart in the middle and it was called "maturnity", for art class. I was going to give it to me mum for mothers day but never finished it :P

But here's one of them that I sketched in my notebook anyways.

Darkside55
06-02-2008, 02:14 AM
The bunny evolution is cool. Zombie, if you've got photoshop, here's an easy way to clean up lined paper sketches (because I usually draw on lined paper too):

Scan your drawing in color, as you did
In the menu, go to Image > Adjustments > Hue and Saturation
In the edit drop box, select cyan, set lightness to +100
Repeat for blue, and personally I like to repeat for most of the other colors as well--especially red and magenta, because most lined paper has that vertical red line
Apply levels, moving the white slider to the left and balancing out the dark and mid sliders
Clean up any remaining lines or marks with the eraser

zombieturtle01
06-02-2008, 02:38 AM
thanks! that should definately be useful, thank you greatly. One of my friends randomly told me he is getting the bunny evolution done as a tattoo on his arm O_o
When people get tattoo's of mine, it's always of the most random stuff. But hey, as long as they ask me first, then thats what they want to do, not my problem if they don't like it as much when they get old, i warn them, lol *shrugs*

I really like your drawings!

You have a masterful skill at drawing insect-like creatures.

Meticulous detail. I'm a details person too.

Maybe you should use unlined paper. In the future you may decide to use these pictures for something.

How can you possibly be passing class though?

gracias, well, i am not doing very well in school at the moment, at all (senioritis) but it's not because of drawings, sketching actually helps me pay attention in class, makes me more attentive to what the teacher is saying/asking.

Thanks guys.

Well, I do have a newer version of photoshop, the thing is I know a lot about some things in the program, and very little about others.

Right now I just started Community College, getting a two year degree in Graphic Design, and hopefully getting a scholarship or enough money to move on to a different college to get a four year degree after that.

Unfortunately, our college requires that you take all the most basic art classes first, no matter what... they don't even ask for a portfolio.

So right now I am taking an art class that is the equivalent of the Drawing 1 class I took my freshman year 4-5 years ago...

It's very frustrating, I've taken at least 7 art classes over the past four years, and it feels like I am being told to regress into more basic drawing again, which completely destroys the four years of learned knowledge I had been working at.

So at the moment, I am trying to either test out of that class and transcend, or bring in a portfolio to possibly get into a different class.

No, that wasn't the one. Yeah, I should definately do a few more realism/studies more. I was going to show you this nude I drew in my English class to kinda show you how to shade a bit, but from the looks of your recent two you are actually doing a lot better.

I have this nice hand I shaded in colored pencil, I got the skin tone down to about the same skin tone of my hand/arm and blended it. Unfortunately I cannot get a good picture or scan of it. I am thinking of investing in a new camera to take better photos of my work.

That's not neccessarily a bad thing...

You might be interested in these illustrations by Juan Montoya for the Torche album 'Meanderthal' (which is ****ing awesome). Your doodles always seem to remind me of his work.

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii276/beskbucket/torche_drawings.jpg

There's a really imaginative and creative flair in your work, I just think maybe you should start to define them a little more. I think it'd be really cool if some of these doodles actually started to turn into something with a little more time put into them. Not to say they look rushed and rubbish - not at all! - but some of the characters could look really cool with a bit more development done.

Haha, those are awesome! I'll definately look into those. But yeah, I know what you mean, I usually doodle that random shit when nothing creative comes to mind.

Anyways, I love drawing on my little brother's coloring books-

That and the lacerated, lobotomised aesthetics in general—design-wise, it’s particularly ‘drained and tortured, writhing post-human-, which is inherently Stalker. Providing the creature you’re designing does not adhere to this, you should be able to deviate quite easily. Of course, if it doesn’t, you should obviously go back to the drawing board.
