Very impressed by the 60 player MP, although not really surprised given the fact that the original has 40 and is awesome in MP.

Also, the game will have two separate campaigns one having 1 player following the events of Hale in the US and one campaign with 8-player online co-op or split-screen. Think of it a bit like Half-Life and Decay, probably even the same in Res2? That would be fantastic.

I've heard the original was a little overrated because it was the only good game during the PlayStation 3's launch period, but the huge multiplayer games and randomised level geometry are pretty cool.

I loved the first. Really, really good game. It didn't really have too many gimmicks or tricks, was just a straight up damn good FPS game. The sequel sounds great, and it's developed by Insomniac so you know it'll be good.

I didn't buy the first one. Did it have split screen co-op? I've always wanted a proper split-screen FPS.
