The idea is that you can post whatever picture you took today, it doesn't have to be fantastic or your best shot, but hopefully having a place to post some random picture you took will be nicer since nobody wants to create a thread for a picture.

Yeah. My desk is quite high and my chair is raised all the way up, but it's still short. A big pillow makes it work. :P

And yeah, those are Icemat headphones. Really nice, though, the right phone keeps going in and out. I think it the actual plug is faulty, so I'm going to be sending it in soon. Sucks, though, 'cause I'll be without a mic for awhile. Might end up just buying something.

That's the most ominous thing I've seen in quite some time.

Yeah she is rather eerie. There was another statue of this women kneeling down and her arms and head are laying on the stone , she too was covered in a cloak, and she had some sort of scroll in her hand and it had a poem on it.

I think the unintended knicks and scratches on the film really add to it.

Can you guys offer any tips on digital photography, or resources so I can use my camera better?

I bought my Fuji Finepix s5000 quite a while ago, and it's supposedly a great digital camera... being well reviewed and I did tons of research before buying it back then(gosh, it was years and years ago).

However, I'm quite terrible with it, and was looking to improve.

Also... any tips for rechargeable batteries? I'm sick and tired of buying new batteries and having them die on me so fast. Huge money sink. I want to invest like 100 bucks into two to three sets of batteries so I can cycle them out and not worry about batteries again. One on the charger, one in my camera, and one on me as backup for when I'm taking photos.

I spent like 300 bucks on this camera at the time, and it's mostly collecting dust or generating shitty pictures.

$100 is overboard for rechargeable batteries. I went down to K-Mart and bought whatever they had on the shelf and an extra pack of batteries for $40 was was set. I used them for my old camera, but I don't need them now. Anyway, the charger comes with four batteries and I bought another pack of four. I always had one set charging so I could quickly switch the dead ones out. They also lasted quite long... about 400 pictures per set, I think.

About photography... I dunno... you learn as you go. I've only recently started (last fall, I think) so I've still got a long way to go. It's frequently and hit and miss thing.

if you're talking about the literal sharpness (like the edges) it's a filter in photoshop called..."sharpen", but if you're talking about the colors then it's my attempt and creating a "Lomo" photo.

yea, if I remember correctly my camera was set to iso800, f8, and it was a five second exposure. Then I'd just press the button every five seconds :)

yeah, the horizon on a few is wonky because of my footing...i tried to correct as much as possible...sand isn't the best footing :p
