Steam keeps updating the same update

Ever since the December 20th Steam update, Steam keeps downloading the update and asking me to restart. I do that them a couple of minutes later its downloading the update again and asking me to restart. Just wondering why is it doing that and how to fix it?

Have you tried deleting clientregistry.blob?

Yeah i tried that, it does the update as soon as it starts then later it downloads that steam update. I think i gonna try erasing steam and re installingsee if that fixes it.

Delete everything exepct Steam.exe and steamapps folder. Then run Steam and update it.

Thanks that sorted it, didn't know you could delete everything apart for Steams exe
