Why is it important that a game the whole world has already played is coming to Steam? :\

Hmmm, a very revealing bug.
If the GTA games came to Steam, I'd prefer to buy San Andreas, though. Vice City has the atmosphere, Andreas had the moddability.

I don't think SanAndreas will have moddability on Steam, because Steam uses the updated versions of games. So it is probably SA 2.0 that has removed modding ability, as there was that Hot Coffee mod thingy.
And I hate this how games that I own come to Steam, but I just can't put them in.
I bought FlatOut 2 standalone and it has the ****ed up Starforce, then I hear it is on Steam but I would need to buy it again.

I bought the original Civ4 at retail, and now I just bought the entire civ4 collection at half that price.
Bargain...

Haha, that's a great way for game devs to make money - release the Starforce edition a month before the regular version.

SA v1.1 was released, that removed the hodden code for the scene.

This makes sense. The GTA series just made it to direct2drive... so Steam is probaly just a matter of time
If the price for a 3-pack is reasonable, i will buy them all again, i still don't have San Andreas for pc...
wouldnt it be cool if they made pc ports of the psp-stories games btw? they would be perfect for cheap online release...

No. It just removed the ability to use the Hot Coffee mod.
But 90% of the mods out there use v1.0, and you can't use SA-MP or any other San Andreas multiplayer app without downgrading to 1.0.

Sounds good! Rockstar on Steam... I wonder if GTAIV will be on Steam too... some day :)
PC version of GTA4 will be around 9 months after console release.
