I got a 9800XT, and full Steam installed, but I don't see how to download that new Valve Premier Pack off of it? I clicked all the buttons, read through the forums there, checked all options and find no way to download anything by using Steam. What am I overlooking here?

I read something about having to enter the CD Key, apparently you have to scratch it off somewhere.

The fact that the Valve Premier Pack hasn't yet been released.

And that, too.

The ticket that came with your new Radeon is a ticket for a free purchase of Half-Life 2 and the Half-Life Premier Pack. However, Steam does not yet have the ability to purchase anything which is something that they'll be implementing before mid November when CS:CZ comes out.

Once they've done so, if you haven't already purchased any Valve titles (in which case you'd get the rest of the Valve titles anyway for one CD key) then using your Radeon voucher/code will enable you to either order a CD from ATI or put an order through Steam that will enable you to download them all for free.

Ok that explains it...but why is it on ATI's website already then?

Do you have any of the Valve titles at all? Half-Life, CS, DOD, OpFor?

I think if you own any Valve titles and have a Steam account then the Premier Pack is superfluous.

That's correct Gossoon. Providing you have at least one of the titles and it's CD key, you'll be able to get the others anyway.

Yes, just Half-Life. But you don't need one of the games to get this pack, you are supposed to be able to download them all.

Ya but I wouldn't want to track down all those old games individually.

Yeah, but if you have Half-Life you can download them all anyway.

Just install it, then the Steam client, enter your CD key when prompted, go to sleep.

All Valve titles will be on your HDD by the time you wake up.

Uhm, this is odd. All I did was install Steam, then I chose Install on Half-Life in the Steam Games menu and put in my cdkey and instantly the game loaded up and I can play it or any of the others. How's this possible when I didn't even actually install the games?!

Yeah if you downloaded the massive Steam installation then it already has all the game data. Otherwise the games were already installed. Otherwise you have a 10gbps connection.
