View Full Version : HL2 and LC Screwed?

Ok, 30th November, a new steam client update was available which then corrupted Hl2 and LC files, with steam unable to repair the problem, what is there to do. Also, server loading has increased across the globe (use steampowered.com's stats to find out) and Hl2 has disapeared off the list of games playable. So is this the achievement update screwing up or is it a valve screw up...Lets wait and see, DISCUSS

Also, if anyone has a solution to this problem please post it here...

I doubt it's the achievements cause then why update Lost Coast instead of Episode 1. I bet it's a classic Valve cock up.Lol just looked at the server stats they are almost running out of bandwidth.

Yeah and I wonder if somebody is actually managing to download anything. I'm stuck at 0%.

it didnt download anything for me but i can still play the game. i only got the steam update.

Seems they have just fixed it mines working again.Unfortunately nothing has changed. So we still gotta wait for the achievements.

Steam won't even update for me, it just keeps closing itself mid-update. But then again, it always does that.

mine is fully updated and playable. no problems on my end.

EDIT: wait... updating... yeah im good.

Goes to 26% and then shuts down because "only one copy can run at the time". Great. I remember having this problem earlier, but I can't remember the fix...

Heh, me and my flatmate had this problem. Cancelled the update and played Episode One instead. Was hoping the update was acheievements... turns out it wasn't, as it started working again this afternoonish
