Get the 360 so you get all of the bonus episodes. It's cheaper for the system too.

No thanks, many of the good 360 games are or will be on the PC as well. PS3 also means MGS4, FF13, LittleBigPlanet, Silent Hill 4, and other exclusives I'd prefer over anything the Xbox has to offer. :P

I've always preferred the console controls myself. Drive-bys and wheelies are a lot easier to do, and analog steering is superior.

Some exclusivity money probably, and PC games are cheaper, so delaying it forces some people to buy the more expensive console version which makes R* more cash.

If you read my post thoroughly I prefer the GTA series on console because of my preference of controls. You misquoted what I typed and make it seem I am saying the GTA series is overall better on consoles over PC.

You throw in some very good points about the advantages for GTA on the PC; mods and MTA but, in my case you're just telling me too much about how you feel;)

All games in early to mid development have frame rate issues, however most games pre-render their trailers.

Agreed, the game looks visually better than the previous outings (reflections etc), but it does look pretty choppy in the Trailer. I also think it's a tad pre-emptive to start talking about it as GoTY. :dozey:

Honestly, nothing in that video really stood out to be as much a challenging thing to do in GTA or as either something cool that I'd want to do. Obviously those sort of crazy stunts happen without real meaning (who doesn't want to drive up a ramp on top of a building?) but still, whatever.

Although the first stunt stood out, but only because it looked horribly mechanical and how no real wow factor to it whatsoever.

Edit: Seems like everyone is saying that the graphics are not that nice because of the scale. Hell saint's row had scale and still better graphics. They could release this game in ascii and people would still say it's fine because of the scale :D

I may actually buy a 360 for this (Halo and Gears don't do it for me). I'm most excited about the multiplayer. San Andreas - Multiplayer (Not MTA) is possibly the best thing ever, and it's an amateur mod. I can't imagine how well Rockstar could do with their own game.

If you honestly believe that your an ignorant fool, you can even see from the trailers that they haven't got a polished product yet, the reality of it is that both versions were far from a releasable product and still are. there's no way they would shelve a fully polished release for 6 months for one console just because the other was lagging behind.

There's no way this is the fault of the PS3. Rockstar still needs to polish up the engine a LOT, and I'm guessing performance is the main reason that the game is being delayed. The base visual quality is pretty good though.

Microsoft doesn't have anything to do with it, i believe rockstar north are the ones making the game and take 2 are the publishers so i don't think we will have too much trouble with that.

I recently beat GTA III again in anticipation for GTA IV. I'll probably give it another time through before release just to get a mental map of Liberty City so I can compare the old to the new. $10,000 says "Claude" (the protagonist in GTA III) makes a cameo in IV.
