I've come across some pretty bad people in online multiplayer games but console multiplayer takes the cake every time. The simplicity and ease of entry into console games allows for all the idiots who really just don't give a shit. Yes it's all fun and games to shit talk the enemy when you're beating them or when they are having a go at you.

My in game nick is Cake. Strawberry and I don't have people attacking my name at all. Except for the one time someone said I was deliciously fruity.

In the live games I usually go into, it's a bunch of white kids/minorities talking about how gangster they are with me and a couple other people trying to play the game. That combined with the homophobia is why I never play XBL anymore, I just use my gold account for demos and other stuff.

Co-op/multiplayer with actual friends is awesome, that requires a gold membership.

Hell, even that one time some of HL2.net had a piss around on Halo 3 was a laugh.
