Wow, I haven't wandered into this forum for a while. I can't draw at all. However, I stumbled upon a thread of interest over at 1up.com.

Did a little searching on the forums and managed to dig up this one (which I unsuprisingly didn't finish). Not exactly my favourite game moment but based on what was my favourite game at the time.

Nothing. I think it's brilliant. Just hate the program. Worst piece of crap Microsoft ever produced, but I guess it does the job. Just really impressed you do it in Paint.

For what Paint does it's perfect. If you're calling it a piece of crap for the features it DOESN'T have, like layers or something... Well. Nyah!

I would say perfect is the biggest overestimation of the program ever made to a piece of software in years.

It's not very user friendly, quite unintuitive (for what it is), and it hasn't been updated or improved since it first came out.

The only thing that used to piss me off infinitely was the undo limit (3) but in Vista's version that's fixed. I'm not sure what else you want from it tbh?

Ah. Haven't used Vista. Didn't know there was an upgrade :o.

That was one of the things i was going to mention.
The zoom is really unintuitive. As is the section underneath the pallette. It's fine, and it does its job, but it deserves a smacking.
Another problem i had was the lack of colour. If you wanted a new colour, you'd have to go through a bloody annoying menu... won't go into that.

For simple programs, Paint rates near the bottom. Notepad and Launchy are near the top.

I'm so used to going through the color menu that I don't even realise I'm doing it.

Also I've found almost no problems with an undo limit of 3. Pixel art isn't really much of an "undo-heavy" art. You make a line wrong, ctrl z. Or you can just erase. Simple as.

I think Paint is crappy, but I also think that fact is what makes these pieces of art so awesome.
