I know, they're pretty much terrible. I had made one where the stick dude fights all these zombies and it was really long and incredible, but I couldn't get it to work.

I'll have a lot more for you soon and if anyone else has a pivot movies they'd like to share, please do.

here you go. this ones pretty good:
actually, its not supposed to be this slow so it looks really crappy

Don't worry, I plan on adding a lot more to this one. Though I must confess that I got the idea for this from another stickman film.

Pivot is a stickfigure program in which you basically bend a lot of sticks and make frames out of them.

I think with a proper investment in flash or similar, you could make some pretty good pieces.

Pretty inventive... You probably want to get your dudes moving a bit more naturally, though.

Connor

yes, i suppose flash would be a great help. i'll look into it.

I lol'd at the last one in the OP. But flash would be the way to go. I think the cannon one was awesome.

Pretty funny. :D
Flash yay? then I guess you could give us the .fla files which prolly wouldn't run so slow maybe.

Okay, that last one actually made me lol hard. The randomness of it.

And yes, Flash is godly.

Connor
28-11-2007, 01:26 PM
I used pivot for that last one and I set it to a faster speed in the making process so it doesn't aoutomatically look slower. Alltogether, It's probably my best so far.

I liked a few of those. Great stuff! When you get everything moving more fluidly and make it easier for you to animate, I'm sure it'll improve even more!

its not supposed to get laggy

Vegeta897
02-02-2008, 08:11 AM
What lag?

Anyway, your physics are questionable :p

And it seems there is blood in times when there shouldn't be, and no blood in times when there should...

Connor
02-02-2008, 08:18 AM
my physics? sure they're not completely up to scale and i have a lot more to learn. And putting in blood for every thing would have been exhausting. and after the beginning, the film starts to go slower so that you can really see each frame. That shoudn't have happened. I could try just taping it with my camera. that would be mush easier.

Vegeta897
02-02-2008, 08:24 AM
Ahahah, um... No, do not take a video of it :p That would be a bad idea.

Anyway, I just meant that it's sometimes hard to emulate how far things being thrown in the air should go, etc etc. when doing animation, that's why it's helpful to draw arcs or sketches which act as guides that you can follow so it doesn't look odd and non-flow..ish (for lack of a better word...)

Which is why I don't really like limited programs like Pivot, you should maybe move up to a real animation program by now, you've got talent.

Connor
02-02-2008, 08:29 AM
i think i'll look into flash

Vegeta897
02-02-2008, 08:38 AM
It's what I use.

Unfortunately, your drawing skills are going to have to come into play, because Flash doesn't have an IK bone system. It's going to be a lot more work. Do your best! I wish you luck.

Pesmerga
02-02-2008, 08:43 AM
Or open the .gif in ImageReady and manually slow the animation down.

Connor
02-02-2008, 09:25 AM
thats exactly what i did. i put it in a gif file and put the speed at max.

btw, i consider myslef an acceptional drawer so i do not think that it will be much of a problem, in fact, it will probably make my animations far better

Gordon_X
