GameTap is offering the awesome and under-rated game Psychonauts online until Dec 31.

Okay: THE CATCH
You have to download and isntall some crappy gameplayer. You have to register with Gamtap. But once you've done that, it IS free.

Absolutely no catch besides downloading the client and registering a username, and AFAIK it's for everyone and not just US (not sure though).

GameTap always does this. For the best month or so they've had two HitMan games up for free to promote the movie.

I'm a beta tester for GameTap (thus free subscription) and the service really is awesome.

I mute the advertising (Go under the Vista control panel and mute only GameTap).

In the major revision that's coming out in a few months (currently in testing) the advertising is really easy to get rid of if you don't want to watch it or hear it in the background.

Even still, advertising shouldn't bother you when you have this awesome game to play! ;)

lol under-rated.. it might not have sold very well and in that sense I guess it could be considered under-rated, but personally I couldn't get away from people telling me about this great game nobody's heard of.
