so i installed the games, and i trying to play using windows xp on vmware fusion (so i running windows on a macbook)

i log into steam, and try to play a game, launch it.... it starts to load, then stops, and nothing happens!

what could be wrong?

Oh, I'm not 100% sure, but that would be the first place I look at. have you tried to reinstall the games?

vmware can run pc games...

i haven't tried to reinstall, because i don't see the need to. i installed them with all the necesssary software/hardware :(

There is no 3D acceleration in vmware. You can run games, yes, such as solitaire. Not Half-Life 2.

If you have an Intel-based Mac, you can use Bootcamp to install Windows XP on another partition.

you should consider dual booting. just google it, it's quite easy to partition your HD and install xp

Is your Mac intel-based? If it is, like I said, try Bootcamp.

Or maybe there's a Mac version of Wine?
