The vocals are completely off-key to the bass/synths, and it sounds like it was made for the tone-deaf. Giving trance a bad name imho.

After I made the bass I checked against the original and they turned out to be the same notes. And the melody is direct a rip from the original/midi just timed and cut slightly.

Have you slowed this track down at all, to mix it? Because it sounds off-key like it's slightly slowed down or something. Maybe you should try a less iffy track.
