Gravity gun doesn`t grab stuff

How do I use the gravity gun to grab items HL 2 just got the gun & it only blasts stuff. did I change the use when I editted the keyboard to be able to play using the mouse ? had episode 1 got stuck there when I needed to use G gun to capture a mine to get to the next part of game now stuck here too.

Right click.

Whatever you use to fire:

A grenade from the smg
An orb from the pulse rifle
A double shot from the shotgun
Zoom with the crossbow
Roll a grenade
Call the Antlions to you.

Should be Right Click unless you changed it. Check your keyboard configuration
